Senior Adviser

Darren Good is a Professor of Applied Behavioral Science at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School, where he teaches executive-level Organization Development and MBA students in leader development, organizational behavior, and group dynamics. Widely regarded as one of the world’s leading scholars on mindfulness in the workplace, his research explores its nature, integration and impact on workplace performance, wellbeing and relationships. Darren’s work has appeared in top-tier journals, including the Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Harvard Business Review, earning him prestigious honors such as the Western Academy of Management’s Ascendant Scholar Award and the Journal of Management’s Scholarly Impact Award, given to the paper that has most impacted the field. He has also received his institution’s highest award for teaching excellence as well as being name the school’s most outstanding faculty in 2025.

Complementing his academic career, Darren delivers specialized workshops, executive education programs and keynote talks to leaders. Drawing on his training in organization development and psychology, he helps client systems develop greater awareness to enact more sustainable and productive change. His practical expertise directly informs his role in designing Pepperdine’s new Master of Science in Family Enterprise (MSFE) program, intending to launch its first cohort in Fall 2027. Developed in collaboration with GTA Executive Chairman, Frank Foster, the program supports next-generation family members in their personal and professional growth, preparing them to navigate their unique stakeholder responsibilities and preserve their family’s legacy.

Darren lives in Southern California with his wife and three children. He received his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
